This study is motivated by the rising incidence of layoffs (Termination of Employment/PHK), which impacts not only the labor market but also income distribution, consumption, welfare, and the attainment of falah (Islamic well-being). The study aims to analyze the causes of layoffs, the resulting economic decline and its impact on Sharia macroeconomic stability, and Sharia-based solutions to address these issues. A library research method was employed, examining relevant journals, books, and literature. The results indicate that layoffs are driven by economic instability, technological advancements and automation, corporate efficiency measures, declining market demand, and workforce skill mismatches. Key findings reveal that the economic downturn resulting from layoffs leads to reduced income and purchasing power thereby affecting consumption, exacerbating poverty and income inequality, and hindering welfare and the attainment of falah. Sharia economics offers solutions through the optimization of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf; the development of Sharia-compliant MSMEs; Sharia financing; human resource capacity building; and the creation of productive, sustainable employment opportunities.
